St. Peter Food Co-op is hosting Owner Appreciation Days May 11-14, 2017. Tastings and events are open to all visitors. Stop by for samplings from our vendors (Gustola Granola, Fahlstrom Farms Gluten-Free, King of the North, Clara’s Comfort Food, Penner Farms, Beans Coffee Company, and more); play with baby goats from Eddies’ Goat Milk Goods; and enjoy free grilled hot dogs and local brats! We’ll also be doing giveaways for a cruiser bike, a portable grill, and Co-op gift cards.

One of your benefits as an owner is a discounted shop during our quarterly Owner Appreciation Days (learn more about owner benefits here). Your savings is based on how much you spend on your entire purchase. Owners can pick the day they use their discount (only once within the four day period):

• 10% discount (purchases up to $100)
• 15% discount (purchases $100-$150)
• 20% discount (purchases over $150)

11AM – 1PM: Gustola Granola sampling (featuring 2 new flavors!)

11AM – 2PM: Fahlstrom Farms Gluten-Free sampling (Fahlstrom Farms is a local, family owned and operated gluten-free dry food mix company who has been developing recipes for 30 years, including pancake mix, garlic cheese biscuits, and chocolate chip cookies)

Friday, May 12

11AM-1PM: King of the North grape juice sampling (King of the North grapes are freshly harvested, artisan pressed, unfiltered and heat processed from Lac Qui Parle Valley Vineyard, MN)

11AM – 2PM: Clara’s Comfort Food Authentic German Pork Sausage Demo

Saturday, May 13

10AM – 2PM: The baby goats visit, from Eddies’ Goat Milk Goods (plus goat milk soap and lotions)

11AM – 1PM: Beans Coffee Company sampling (Small batch coffee roaster from Mankato!)

11AM – 2PM: Free grilled hot dogs and local brats!

2-5PM: Ben Penner from Penner Farms will share his story and talk about his local, organic flour

The St. Peter Food Co-op wouldn’t exist without the investment of over 2,500 people in our region who have taken steps to become owners of a cooperative grocery store. Because a good investment generates a good return, the Co-op staff and board are dedicated to providing a thriving store with a great experience. Owner Appreciation Days give us an opportunity to recognize and thank our owners. We’re responded to owner feedback and expanded our days to include Sunday; increased our discounts; and partnered with local vendors, building the connection between producer and consumer.
